How many times have you asked yourself who am I? I know I have asked myself that question many times and answered it many ways. Have people ever told you they want you to be a certain way for them? I notice that when people want me to be a certain way for them I find myself in conflict, I find myself asking myself if something is wrong with me.
I have noticed that I choose to surround myself with those that believe I am enough, just the way I am. I am the girl who loves God first, dances by herself sometimes, sings at the top of her lungs, loves to be creative, cherishes every conversation she has with each person in her life, and lives to be a light to those around her. I am not perfect and I will never be, but I strive to be true to the person I was created to be. I think about who I was 9 years ago, I was a lifeless blob on this earth. I did not feel, I did not smile, I did not love…. I just was. I had no goals, no dreams, no aspirations, I did whatever anyone wanted. I am so grateful for the gift of life, dreams, goals, passion, and the ability to feel.
Lately I have had the desire to pursue the things that give me a passion for life. Speaking, dancing, music, and art; these things speak to my soul but they reflect what is inside. You cannot bottle up who you are and what you love to do…it is a part of you. Be who you were created to be not who the world tells you to be. Stand up for your dreams, goals and passion, because YOU ARE ENOUGH, YOU ARE WORTH IT, and YOU DESERVE IT!
