"You will either have reasons or results.” – Vince Lombardi
“Compassionate Samurai make bold promises and keep them. Average people do what they say they will when it’s convenient. The results we experience are proportional to the promises we are willing to make and can keep. Reasons are merely a polite way to be excused from producing the result. What “reasons” have you been using to be accepted by others or by yourself? Can you give those up today?” - Brian Klemmer
This weekend I think I had a few reasons… of why I could not do certain things. I got upset about some of these “reasons” because I was not willing to let them go… I did not want to let them go. I could say my reasons that I had for myself are some of my sunglasses (behaviors, paradigms, programs) that I have not yet let go. However, someone very dear to me told me that when I focus on the reasons “why” I cannot do something or look through my sunglasses, I ultimately hurt myself and those around me.
So my question to myself is, are my reasons more important than the results I am striving for? Am I willing to give up the excuses, the sunglasses, and instead trade them for MY LIFE & MY DREAMS.
It is challenging to let go of what we are comfortable with, but in the end “the greatest rewards are preceded by the greatest challenges”. Since rewards are preceded by challenges, I am willing to give up my reasons why I can't… Are you willing to give up your reasons, or results?
Have a SUPER day everyone!!!
